Spring Fling

Happy Friday Eve my loves!
This past weekend was my best friend and her fiancĂ©’s wedding shower and I wanted to wear something colorful to the event. Since they are getting married in April, I went with a spring time themed colored outfit.

The color pink is becoming an obsession of mine and I find myself gravitating towards that color when putting outfits together. I recently pick up this floral skirt from a thrift store and I wanted to pair it with something that would make it stand out. Since pink is the dominant color in the skirt, I went with a bright pink blouse to make the flowers stand out. To tie the look together, I add a teal bow belt. This outfit is so girly and I felt it was perfect for the wedding shower:).

Hint of Summer

One thing about me is that I absolutely love color! There was a period of time when color in clothing scared me. I would always stick to black or neutral pieces because those were what I called my safety colors. I didn't want to be an outfit that was loud or wear something that drew attention to me. It wasn't until I got to college that I started experimenting and getting out of my safety zone. Now, you can't stop me from wearing color. Lol. I love color and try to incorporate it in all of my outfits. Today's outfit is a very colorful one. It almost has all the primary colors and is as loud as it can be. When I look at this outfit, I tend to think of summer because of the bold print and the darker colors and since I am in Miami where it's summer all year round, I found this outfit to be appropriate for this time of year.

Valentine's Day | Effortlessly Chic

Valentine's Day #2

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!! I hope your day is filled with nothing but love and happiness on this special day♥!

Valentine’s Day is the perfect day to pull out your girlest pieces and build an outfit around it making sure to incorporate the color of love – pink or red. Since today is a day full of love, I decided to go with a look that was a bit more on the dressier side. I wanted to put a look together that made me look cute without it seeming like I spent a lot of time getting ready. This look is perfect for going out to dinner with that special someone whether it’s a first date or romantic dinner with someone you have been dating for a while. To create this look, I paired my peplum shirt with a pink and white body con skirt and finished off the look with simple accessories. Since I wanted to be comfortable throughout the night, I paired my outfit with these beige strappy heels in case we wanted to end the night out by going out dancing. I hope each and every one of you has a wonderful Valentine’s Day♥♥!

Pink and Flirty

Valentine's Day Look #1

Valentine's Day is almost here and I put together 2 looks that can be worn on this special day. The first look is today's look and the second look will go up tomorrow. When I think of Valentine's Day, I tend to think of the color pink and I wanted to incorporate that color in my look.
Today's look is a bit casual but still on the dressier side. This look is perfect to wear during the day to go have brunch with your significant other or catch an afternoon movie or just hanging out with your girlfriends. The focus of the look is this bright pink blazer. I paired my blazer with a white tee and pale acid wash destroyed jeans that looks white in certain angle. It sort of gives off the illusion that I am wearing all white when in fact I'm not:). The jeans make the look a bit more playful in my opinion and the fact that I got them for less than $2, makes my look that much more complete. I finished off my look with a beautiful bold  light and dark blue statement necklace that I got from one of favorite jewelry company called Ikavee, colorful bracelets and my Olive + Joy Kaleidoscope clutch.
Outfit Details:
Blazer: Forever 21 (similar)
Top: Target
Jeans: Express via Plato's Closet (similar)
Heels: UrbanOG (exact in silver)
Bracelets: HauteLook
Clutch: Oliva + Joy via TJMaxx
Necklace: Ikavee

Chilly Nights

Several weeks back, a cold front hit Miami which I was pretty excited about it. I always look forward to the temperatures dropping because that means I can bust out my winter clothes and wear them without sweating:).

For today’s outfit, I pulled out my beloved dark blue denim trench coat that I got from Macy about 6 or 7 years ago. I absolutely love this trench coat because of how feminine it looks. I also love the pattern of the lining on the inside of the coat. This coat is perfect for me to wear in Miami during the “winter” time as it doesn't really get that cold here. Since it is made out of denim, it doesn't really keep me warm but it will protect me from the cold while keeping me looking stylish:). I paired my coat with a black dress, black tights, black pumps and cream colored infinite scarf. The trench coat is fitted at the waist and flares out at the bottom and gives off the illusion that you are wearing a dress. You can add this trench coat on top of any outfit you are wearing and it will immediately spice up your look.
