Orange and Cream

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. This weekend was our neighborhood garage sale and even though not all the house in my neighborhood participated, it was till a great success. It felt good to get rid of stuff. One man's trash is another's man treasure:)!

Now on to the fashion post. I absolutely love cardigans! They are a must-have wardrobe essential. They come in so many shapes and styles and what love about them is that they can be worn year round. It can be paired with almost anything and will add that extra spice to your outfit. Cardigans are so versatile because you can wear them in the daytime for a more casual look or pair it with your work attire for a more sophisticated look. For today's look, I paired my orange and cream cascade open front cardigan with a sequin collar and studded heels for a daytime chic look. Hope you enjoy the look:)!

Camouflage

Happy Friday everyone!! I am so glad it's Friday even though I have a very busy weekend ahead of me. This weekend,we are hosting our first ever neighborhood garage sale and I am excited about de-cluttering my house:). In the meantime, here is my outfit post! The camouflage trend is popping up everywhere and you will see this print on jeans, shirts, boots and bags. Camouflage print is a different and stylish way to add spice to your outfit. Because of it color scheme, camouflage is one of the easiest and versatile prints to style. For a daring look, it can be paired with bold colors, lace, floral, graphic tee or a chambray shirt. If you don't want to be daring and want to go for a more subtle look, style it as a neutral. For today's look, I styled my camo shirt as a neutral piece and paired it with black jeans, a tan bag and tan boots. I wanted my shirt to stand out and to be the focal point of my outfit. Hope you enjoy the look:).

Aztec Print

Ever since I saw Jessie J’s Domino video, I became obsessed with finding a jumpsuit just like hers. I love how colorful it was and how trendy it made her look. What I love about jumpsuits is how easy they are to style. They give you a more put together look without having to do much.  All you have to do is add your favorite accessory and you are good to goJ. In my search, I came across this Aztec print jumpsuit from ASOS and I knew I had to have it. When you look at the Aztec Print patterns, you see colorful prints and strong shapes like circles and triangles and because of that, it’s become a big trend in the fashion world. For me this outfit was the best of both worlds and to make my look a bit more edge, I paired it with a faux leather jacket, a thick necklace and booties. This look gave me a bit of a 90’s feel and I love everything about it. Hope you enjoy the look.

Monochromatic - Black and White

The latest  trend in fashion has been the monochromatic trend. If you aren't familiar with the monochromatic, let me explain. Dressing in monochromatic means picking a single color, tint, tones or shades and styling an outfit around it without looking like a....oh I don't know...a member of Power Ranger maybe. Consider it as shade blocking instead of color blocking from head to toe. I have to just tell you guys how much I love this trend. It makes putting an outfit together easy and exciting. Just grab clothes in same color hue and dress it up with accessories to make a fashion statement. It's one of the simplest  look that can be worn year round and never fails to draw attention to your outfit. In addition to wearing single color hues, black and white is also considered to be monochromatic and is one of the easiest summer trends to carry out. For my look today, I went with black and white from head to toe in preparation of summer. Hope you enjoy this look!

Let me know....what do you think about this trend?

Zipped

Have you ever been in a store and fallen in love with an article of clothing and knew you had to have it? Well, that's how I felt about this top. The moment I saw it I knew it had to come home with me but something inside told me that I didn't need it in my life. Needless to say I left it there but in the back of mind, I kept thinking about it. A week later, I called the store where I saw it and the lady told me that they sold out. I told her I really wanted it and she said she would contact her distributor to get the top for me in my size. Several weeks later, I received a call letting me know that my top was in. I jumped for joy because I knew it was meant to be and here it is today!

This blouse features gold zipper details all around it to give it some extra dimension and can be worn dressed up or dress down. The day I wore this outfit, I  wanted to be a bit causal but still wanted the top to be the center of attention. I decided to paired it with jeans and accessorize it with pink accessories for a pop of color. The looks is simple and chic and makes you look more put together than with your basic white shirt and jeans outfit. Hope you enjoy the look!

Weekend Ready

Hey guys!
Can I tell you how much I LOVE the weekends?!! Monday through Friday tends to be very busy and very hectic for me so I look forward to doing some relaxing and trying to recuperate from the week (even though sometimes it doesn't always happen:)). Normally I like to stay in sweats and lounge around my house and not get dressed but on some occasion I have to. When it comes to getting ready, it usually takes me about an hour and half. Sometimes I have that luxury to take that long to get dress but most of the time I don't, so I've come up with a way of getting ready with hair and makeup to be done within an hour:)!!

Normally, I find myself experimenting with eye shadows and coming up with looks before I get dress. I can't help it, I just love makeup! But when I know I don't have a lot of time to spend on getting ready, I always fall back to my go to makeup look (which I can do in my sleep) and it helps me to get done within a timely manner. When it comes to getting dressed in a hurry I like to go for comfort so I tend to wear jegging, legging or skinny jeans, a loose-fitted top and sneaker wedges. This completed look can be worn to go hangout and go shopping with friends or going to lunch with a special someone.
