Aztec Print

Ever since I saw Jessie J’s Domino video, I became obsessed with finding a jumpsuit just like hers. I love how colorful it was and how trendy it made her look. What I love about jumpsuits is how easy they are to style. They give you a more put together look without having to do much.  All you have to do is add your favorite accessory and you are good to goJ. In my search, I came across this Aztec print jumpsuit from ASOS and I knew I had to have it. When you look at the Aztec Print patterns, you see colorful prints and strong shapes like circles and triangles and because of that, it’s become a big trend in the fashion world. For me this outfit was the best of both worlds and to make my look a bit more edge, I paired it with a faux leather jacket, a thick necklace and booties. This look gave me a bit of a 90’s feel and I love everything about it. Hope you enjoy the look.

Monochromatic - Black and White

The latest  trend in fashion has been the monochromatic trend. If you aren't familiar with the monochromatic, let me explain. Dressing in monochromatic means picking a single color, tint, tones or shades and styling an outfit around it without looking like a....oh I don't know...a member of Power Ranger maybe. Consider it as shade blocking instead of color blocking from head to toe. I have to just tell you guys how much I love this trend. It makes putting an outfit together easy and exciting. Just grab clothes in same color hue and dress it up with accessories to make a fashion statement. It's one of the simplest  look that can be worn year round and never fails to draw attention to your outfit. In addition to wearing single color hues, black and white is also considered to be monochromatic and is one of the easiest summer trends to carry out. For my look today, I went with black and white from head to toe in preparation of summer. Hope you enjoy this look!

Let me know....what do you think about this trend?

Weekend Ready

Hey guys!
Can I tell you how much I LOVE the weekends?!! Monday through Friday tends to be very busy and very hectic for me so I look forward to doing some relaxing and trying to recuperate from the week (even though sometimes it doesn't always happen:)). Normally I like to stay in sweats and lounge around my house and not get dressed but on some occasion I have to. When it comes to getting ready, it usually takes me about an hour and half. Sometimes I have that luxury to take that long to get dress but most of the time I don't, so I've come up with a way of getting ready with hair and makeup to be done within an hour:)!!

Normally, I find myself experimenting with eye shadows and coming up with looks before I get dress. I can't help it, I just love makeup! But when I know I don't have a lot of time to spend on getting ready, I always fall back to my go to makeup look (which I can do in my sleep) and it helps me to get done within a timely manner. When it comes to getting dressed in a hurry I like to go for comfort so I tend to wear jegging, legging or skinny jeans, a loose-fitted top and sneaker wedges. This completed look can be worn to go hangout and go shopping with friends or going to lunch with a special someone.

Miami Breeze

Maxi skirts of any kind are my go to option when I don't want to put a lot of thought behind an outfit. They are comfortable and versatile. You can dress them up or down and still look put together. Most maxi skirts come with an elastic band that helps to keep everything in place without suffocating your middle section - which I love especially on my "fat" days ;). For today's outfit, I decided to pair this semi sheer chiffon hot pink maxi skirt that I got from TJMaxx with a denim jacket and heels for an effortless look. The fabric of the skirt has a wonderful swing to it which makes it flow in the Miami breeze. And while the skirt is very sheer, it does come with inside lining that covers up my bottom half. The lining itself is not to tight and allows me to move with ease. Hope you enjoy the look!

Primary Colors

The weather in Miami has been so amazing lately! It starts off by being cool in the morning and warms up in the afternoon. There is still a nice cool breeze during the day that keeps the sun from being too hot. This is one of the main reasons why I love Spring!

I have to say that this was one of my favorite photo shoot to date because of the outfit! Incorporating bright colors is a fun way to make your outfit stand out. Vibrant colors and colorful floral patterns are great fashion statements and they help to broadens your fashion horizon. For today's outfit, I decided to pair the three primary colors together to create this very fun colorful, vibrant look. Red, white and blue tend to look a bit patriotic so to break up that theme, I added a yellow bag and flats and a colorful scarf to create another Spring inspired look. Enjoy!

Spring Time

Hello loves,
With Spring right around the corner, I wanted to create a fashion post highlighting the bright colors of Spring. Recently, I went to TJMaxx to update my Spring wardrobe and came across this light knit sweater and brightly colored butterfly scarf (both on clearance!) and decided to create an outfit around it. This sweater/scarf combo is perfect for the cool temperature that you can expect this time of year and a great way to bring in Spring. To complete the look, I paired the combo with green wedges and a yellow handbag to create a fun Spring look:). Enjoy!
