Nails of the Week: Christmas Tree

I have another holiday nail art to share with you guys! When I think of Christmas, I think of Christmas trees, Christmas ornaments and the colors red, green and white. These colors are very festive and perfect for a Christmas nail art. And of course, you can't have Christmas nails without glitter. Lol. For today's NOTW, I used OPI Alpine Snow, Rimmel Stiletto Red, Nicole by OPI One Time Lime as the base colors and OPI Fresh Frog of Bel Air and Sally Hansen Gem Crush Cha-Ching for the glitter! Summertime Winter

Today's outfit features two of the hottest current trends right now: floral pants and peplum tops. I recently got outfit from Arden B and featured them on Black Friday/Cyber Monday Haul. I absolutely love the floral pant trend and glad that I was able to get these on sale! To complete this look, I paired the pants with a white peplum shirt to create this look I called Summertime Winter....since its 85 degrees outside and we are in the middle of December.  It definitely doesn’t feel like winter around here.

I know they say that you shouldn't wear white after Labor Day but I feel that that rule doesn't apply to us here in Miami. Lol. It's hot all year round and wearing white is one way of staying cool. Hope you enjoy the look:)!

Black Friday/Cyber Monday 2012

I want to first start off by saying that I LOVE BLACK FRIDAY! For as long as Ruben and I have been together, we've always done Black Friday shopping and I look forward to it every year! We are all about saving money and trying to get the best deals out there.

A month prior to BF, we would scour BF Ads to see what deals they have and what we want. This year we wanted to upgrade our TV and get a new camera so we went to BestBuy at midnight and thought we would be in line for about 3 hours since we got there so late. But...since the TV we wanted wasn't on sale for BF, we were able to get the tv and all of our other Black Friday items within 40 minutes of arriving to BestBuy!! That’s the best shopping trip EVER!!

After getting our stuff, I decided not to go to the mall because the mall was ridiculous packed and I didn't feel like standing in long lines. So instead, I went home and did most of my shopping online. I finally got my most of my packages in and I wanted to share with you guys what I got. Enjoy:)!

Nails of the Week: Rudolph and Snow Flakes

It's the holiday season and since this is the most festive time of year, I am planning on doing festive nail art for the rest of the month of December:)! I drew inspiration for my nail art from this holiday magazine that I purchased from Walgreens. This magazine had a lot of cute holiday designs to do on the nails and I plan on incorporating all of them!

To create today's nail art, I used Wet n Wild On a Trip as a base color - which is a very pretty violet-lavender-periwinkle nail color some blue undertones nail color. To make it a festive look, my nail lady added silver snowflakes on all my fingers with the exception of the ring finger and added silver nails gems in the center of the snowflakes. For my ring finger, she drew a reindeer and put a red nail gem as it's nose to make him Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer:). Hope you guys in enjoy this nail art!

Chilly Day

As I mentioned in my previous post, I had a very busy weekend partaking in a lot of different fun activities – one being my bestfriend’s baby shower. The weather was cooler and a bit windy in Miami on Saturday so I took advantage of being able to wear my new booties and bow hat I got from Target. To complete my outfit, I paired a sequins shirt with a military inspired jacket to create this fun look. Enjoy!

♥Black and Teal♥

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I had a busy one filled with a baby shower, a fundraising gala and a wedding. Even though this was a jammed packed weekend, I had a wonderful time celebrating!

Today's outfit post features a black dress I wore to my really good friend's wedding. What I love about this dress is the how unique it is. It features a lace top with a cutout in the back and a peplum style bottom with a little tail. I paired my dress with teal shoes and a teal clutch to add a pop of color and bold statement earrings.

I love weddings and the joy that it represents so I wanted to do something fun with my outfit. Hope you like this look. Enjoy!
